Networking is one of the three strands of EPAD’s work. We believe that better connections benefit everyone, and organise quarterly networking events to encourage and facilitate this.
These networking events are an important part of the EPAD project – bringing together a wide-range of people working in the performing arts across Edinburgh. The aim is to expand individuals’ and companies’ networks by creating opportunities to meet and chat with a wide cross section of people working in the performing arts in Edinburgh. Nearly 150 people attended our first three networking events, including independent artists, newly-formed companies, and representatives from the Traverse, the Festival Theatre, Edinburgh International Festival, Creative Scotland and the Edinburgh Fringe Society.
Our Support Surgeries also encourage better connections by introducing people with specific needs to people who can support them but who they might not already have met.
