EPAD Board member required
EPAD is applying to be registered as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation and wishes to appoint one trustee, ideally based in Edinburgh, who has a good understanding of the performing arts sector within the city.
The trustee should be able to commit to attend four Board meetings per year. These meetings will be held at a central Edinburgh location. In addition, we expect members of the Board of Trustees to attend related meetings and events, which can promote and develop EPAD’s reputation and relationships.
The role of trustee carries legal responsibilities including:
- acting in the interests of the organisation;
- acting with the care and diligence which it is reasonable to expect of a person who is managing the affairs of another person;
- ensuring that the organisation complies with any direction, requirement, notice or duty imposed under or by virtue of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.
The trustees will not receive any remuneration. However expenses incurred in carrying out Board duties will be fully reimbursed.
To apply please send a CV and a short letter outlining why you are interested in this role and what you will bring to the board to nicholas@masonbone.co.uk. The deadline for applications is Friday 24 March at 1.00pm.
